Sea Pilgrim #332 šŸ§œā€ā™€ļø

$250.00
Sold Out

I was drawn to this beautiful symbol because of its association with Venus, the goddess of love. In Botticelli’s famous painting, The Birth of Venus, Venus is emerging from a scallop shell, referencing fertility, resurrection, renewal, transformation and rebirth. On this pot Venus is depicted as a mermaid, with shimmering blue scales and iridescent turquoise highlights in her hair.

If you feel like these themes speak to you, this might be the perfect pot to have in your home šŸ˜

The mermaid and shell are painted in oil paint on a textured and abstract coral background.

It is a large-sized pot and quite heavy! (approx 23cmH, 25cmW, 25cm diameter (fit 20cm pot).

Care: Your pot is an original, hand-painted artwork by me, Sharlie Wise. I recommend keeping your plant inside its original plastic pot inside your Sharlie Designs pot and removing it for watering. The base will get scratched if placed on abrasive surfaces. Pots can be kept outdoors in undercover areas—please don’t let it sit in water! If it gets grubby you can gently wipe over with a damp cloth.

Postage: Please allow for 2-3 weeks for postage as a result of COVID-19
