The Banksilly mixed-media illustrations were created out of my own personal frustration when trying to find appropriate artwork for my daughter’s room. I wanted to find prints that matched my home décor, would be able to age alongside her, were gender-neutral, reflected a love of Australian flora and fauna, and (most importantly!) uplifted and encouraged her daily.

While it could be argued that maybe I couldn't find artwork for her room because of the many caveats (see above) that I unnecessarily placed on it, I would like to think that it was because I had something within me that I had to draw out (quite literally!).

After many months and countless sketches, Banksillies were born. I hope you love them too!
