The Femme collection is my most personal and intricate series to date. It is my love letter to women, and my little way of honouring our strength, resilience and power. Each woman is lovingly hand-painted in oil paint with a glowing gold backdrop on a cream-coloured pot.
‘Glory’ features a sitting woman with her hand placed gently on her chest. Her eyes are closed and she appears to be taking a deep breath in. She is placed to the left of a large gold circle and she seems calm, composed and strong.
The pot is a maxi U-shaped pot: approx 18cmH, 22cmW, 22cm diameter (fit 18cm pot).
This month, $10 from each pot sold will be donated. The donations will be split between Northern Rivers Relief Fund, a community-led recovery fund for flood-affected areas and sisterworks, a social enterprise empowering asylum seekers, refugee and migrant women to work towards financial independence. Care: Your pot is an original, hand-painted artwork by me, Sharlie Wise. I recommend keeping your plant inside its original plastic pot inside your Sharlie Designs pot and removing it for watering. The base will get scratched if placed on abrasive surfaces. Pots can be kept outdoors in undercover areas—please don’t let it sit in water! If it gets grubby you can gently wipe over with a damp cloth.
