The perfect nostalgic piece for your home. Featuring a green retro rotary phone on a textured plaster background. She also features an embedded “Southern Tablelands” Marching Girl enamel pin.

I had no idea what a marching girl was, but apparently it was once of the first “sports” that women were *allowed* to participate in after WWII. It involved literally wearing cute outfits and marching around in formations, which is a kind of sport I could get behind. Apparently it was a “national obsession” at the time so I love the thought of giving a new life to these once-adored pins 💚

She is lovingly hand-painted and handmade by me in my Meanjin studio.
