This piece was inspired by my painting “A woman is a mountain. A woman is the sun”, however this time I have depicted her as a child. This painting was created in honour of International Women’s Day this year, and it features a very special embedded vintage Soviet era Russian badge celebrating March 8 (IWD).
She is lovingly hand-painted and handmade by me in my Meanjin studio.
